Guitar teacher Thomas Flippin’s composition “Neverland” (for classical guitar) has just been published by Clear Note Publications. The piece depicts a dream he had involving a desert island and its natives. The piece is his first published score.

White Plains, NY (August 20, 2009) – The Music Conservatory of Westchester will offer exciting programs in music, musical theatre, and music therapy this fall when their semester
begins September 12th. The Conservatory welcomes students of all ages, from young children to senior citizens.
“No matter what your musical interests or goals, the Conservatory has a program that‘s right for you,” says Jean Newton, Dean of Students and Faculty. “This fall we will offer expanded introductory group classes for young children in violin, cello, guitar, flute and piano, as well as new Music Skills classes for 2 and 3-year-olds. We also have expanded string quartet and composition programs. Our Rock Band program, new last fall, is going strong.”

Welcome to the fall 2009 semester at the Music Conservatory of Westchester. This will be an exciting year at the Conservatory as we celebrate the school’s 80th anniversary. We look forward to having you participate in our anniversary events. Visit our website and take a look at our fall catalog for information on lessons, classes and more. We’ve re-organized the catalog to make it easier to find the right programs for you! Please note that the first day for private lessons and Musical Theatre Workshop is Saturday September 12th; group classes and ensembles begin on Tuesday October 13th.
