Welcome to the fall 2009 semester at the Music Conservatory of Westchester. This will be an exciting year at the Conservatory as we celebrate the school’s 80th anniversary. We look forward to having you participate in our anniversary events. Visit our website and take a look at our fall catalog for information on lessons, classes and more. We’ve re-organized the catalog to make it easier to find the right programs for you! Please note that the first day for private lessons and Musical Theatre Workshop is Saturday September 12th; group classes and ensembles begin on Tuesday October 13th.

We have some exciting events planned for our 80th anniversary.

• Kick-Off Birthday Party at the Conservatory on Saturday October 3rd.

• Conservatory Honors on Saturday December 5, 2009 at the Conservatory. Presentation of the 2009 Teaching Awards and dedication of the Faculty Recognition Wall.

• Gala 80th Anniversary Concert at the Purchase College Performing Arts Center on Saturday May 8, 2010, featuring performances by Conservatory student ensembles. Garrick Ohlsson, world renowned concert pianist and a Conservatory alumnus, will be a special guest artist, performing with our student Chamber Orchestra.

Join an ensemble this year! All large ensembles and selected small ensembles will perform in the 80th anniversary concert on May 8th.
